Sahalé comes from the word "Sahale", a mountain of North America. Meaning "in clouds", his music is spiritual and lively. The Parisian producer and musician takes inspiration from traditional musics of East or Africa which he deconstructs and reconstructs with the mean of electronic tools.

One of the brightest lights of the roots-influenced underground community for the past half-decade, Poland born Mateusz Miller has pioneered a compelling and unique fusion of sounds that encompass dub, reggae and dubstep under his Radikal Guru moniker.

Inspired by an appreciation of soundsystem culture, his music has become synonymous with suffocating degrees of dread bassweight, vibrant and eclectic palettes of tone, and varying energy levels that cater for both dancefloor focussed ruckus and for more meditative listening.

Heavily influenced by the likes of King Tubby and Scientist, Matt first gained worldwide acclaim and recognition through a string of killer vinyl releases on leading reggae/dubstep imprint Dubbed Out, before forming a creative partnership with fellow label Moonshine Recordings where he has gone on to cement his reputation as one of the strongest proponents of the scene.

His Moonshine discography boasts highlights that include his debut LP ‘The Rootstepa’ and the mighty ‘Dread Commandments’ 12”, and keep an eye out for some seriously exciting developments in the pipeline including the release of his second album.

Not only a talented producer, Matt is also a fine selector, conveying his passion for music through DJ sets that pay homage to the sound and culture’s rich history as much as they showcase the freshest cuts of sonic innovation from himself and his contemporaries.

He has hit spots all around the world to assault soundsystems with bass-fuelled beats and positive vibes. Catch Matt bringing heat to a series of festivals this summer, and with a landmark tour yet to be announced, there is plenty to look forward to on the horizon.

I knew I wanted to be a DJ when I was still just a squiggly sperm in one of my dads nuts.

It was because of him and his god awful taste in music (Hawaiian Hulla Hulla) That I knew I had to do something to obliterate such horrendous waffle from the earth.

At the beginning it was hard, sperm have no hands to mix with, no arms come to that. But I persevered.

If I can say ONE thing, it’s.. Never give up kids!

Oh, and I got multipass..

For many years ill-esha has weathered the dynamic, often ephemeral soundscape of electronic music, simply by being an original. “I’m not really an observer. I’m very much a participant and a creator,” self-describes the Vancouver, British Columbia-born artist, songwriter, producer, and DJ. “Everything I do in my life, it quickly becomes way more than a hobby.” From growing up in the EDM hotbed of the Pacific Northwest, attending raves in her teens, ill-esha accelerated her musical passions to the fullest. “First I wanted to be part of this culture as a DJ, doing vocals and curating music. After that, I also needed to participate in the music I was playing,” referring to her progression as a producer and headlining performer. “I’ve just been moving one step up at a time over the years, into being this completely original show.”

Although ill-esha’s professional career dates back to 1997, the Denver, Colorado-based artist asserts that her recent evolution in music greatly contrasts with her initial work. “I spent about a decade in the Drum & Bass world. I was one of two Drum & Bass female MCs in the whole country, for a long time. That’s how I got my start, and started touring.” Delving further into making the kind of music she wanted on her playlist, ill-esha’s journey broke out of genre. “Something about Drum & Bass just isn’t what I make,” she says, becoming a pioneering artist in the Glitch Hop movement. Even that musical taxonomy is something that today, the veteran shakes off. “It now means something very different from what I do.”Currently immersed in Future-Bass, ill-esha’s music captivated audiences in 2013, tied to three separate tours, alongside Bassnectar, Beats Antique, and Big Gigantic. With the increasing dates and venues, the artist remains committed to her audience. “After that experience, I upgraded my set-up. Now I have custom stands, instruments—even if it’s heavy and expensive to travel with, I’m proud that authenticity is what matters most in my music.”

Authenticity has been a driving force in ill-esha’s albums, including 2008’s The Perfect Circuit, 2010’s Circadian Rhythms, and most recently, 2014’s Open Heart Surgery, among a plethora of singles, EPs, and various appearances and side projects. Looking at the space she’s helped lead, she says, “Those of us who do it own way without going with what’s hot in the market, we don’t blow up as much, but we’re all still here.” With her work covered and remixed, the artist who grew up in a professional music family, stresses, “I really try to make songs. A good song should be translatable. If I can’t play an acoustic version of it, I don’t let it sit.”

Calling her own musical style “weird,” it’s something that crowds have hooked onto. All the while, ill-esha has helped shift a paradigm in EDM. After years of suffering the music industry’s sexism, from being mistaken as a visual designer or a dancer to being discounted despite her expertise, it’s only made her sound hit harder. “I have to be better cause people expect me to be worse,” ill-esha says, noting that she plans to lead workshops that inspire at-risk youth—young women especially, to pursue the technical arts. In a culture where production is stereotyped as a masculine practice, it is ill-esha now making the records that male and female DJs are spinning.

A fully dimensional artist, ill-esha remains in touch with her DJ past. “In my live shows, there’s an extra layer of freestyle energy. I think it’s really important to make each show special, and make people have to see you.” Differentiating from the albums, she adds, “I like to make solid songs, and just a whole level of randomness when it’s live.” With turntables, keytars, vocal loopers, and other instrumentals integrated within her sets, all of the iterations of ill-esha’s journey are represented. A blissful ill-esha describes her newest creations as upbeat, positive parallels to her life. “I feel resolved now. Hopefully my happy music is just as good.” With that constant driving bass, freestyle, and soulful lyrics, it surely is.

They're back! Although they've never really been away. Barry Ashworth's evergreen bunch of dubwise vagabonds have been rocking practically every festival in existence all summer, and yet have still found time to squeeze out a new album — their sixth. And it's another corker.

'The Return Of The Pistoleros' makes them sound like a Latin prison gang, extras in a spaghetti western, a marauding mob of Tequila-swigging mobsters, or a Mexican drug cartel. Some of which have a grain of truth to them. Joking aside, though, it's been a long road to get to where they are — one of the most popular and best-loved acts on the circuit — but it's testimony to their perseverance and staying power that their popularity still keeps increasing.

The Dubs have been dubbed 'The Pistoleros' in recent times by their army of fans — so it seemed only natural to adopt the tag for their latest album on Rob Da Bank's Sunday Best imprint. El Pistolero is also the nickname of Uruguay talisman Luiz Suarez, who knocked England out of the 2014 World Cup. But as Barry is a Liverpool fan, he's happy to still have this association. Just.

The Dub Pistols coalesced in the mid-'90s and initially surfed the big beat wave along with acts like the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim. They had some minor chart hits like 'Cyclone' and 'There's Gonna Be A Riot' on Concrete Records, remixed the likes of Moby and Limp Bizkit, and made dramatic inroads into America. Their debut album in 1998, 'Point Blank', cemented their position as party-rockers extraordinaire, and by the time it came to their second album around the Millennium — 'Six Million Ways To Live', with guest vocals by reggae great Horace Andy and lead singer of The Specials, Terry Hall — they were more concerned with some of the world's problems. The album was due to come out just before September 11th 2001 — the date of the Twin Towers terrorist attack in New York — and so had to be postponed. It was the start of the now-familiar Dub Pistols self-deprecating mantra: what could possibly go wrong?

As the noughties progressed, they signed to Sunday Best and went a bit more poppy for 'Speakers & Tweeters', which included cover versions of 'Rapture' by Blondie, 'Peaches' by The Stranglers and 'Gangsters' by The Specials – a track they had been making their own live. After guesting on their second album with 'Problem Is', estranged Specials singer Terry Hall started singing live with them, and the warm reaction he received from music fans was instrumental in him agreeing to reform his infamous 2-Tone band a few years later. Next Dubs album 'Rum & Coke', so named after some infamous recording sessions in Barbados, introduced more guest vocalists such as former Freak Power man Ashley Slater and Beats International gal Lindy Layton, and with last long-player 'Worshipping The Dollar' in 2012 they consolidated their position as one of the foremost festival-rockers in Europe.

The Dubs toured with Neville Staple from The Specials at the start of 2014, and this led to the toaster guesting on 'Real Gangster' on the new 'Pistoleros' album. On the album, 'Our Life' is a free-spirited dub cut featuring long-term Dubs vocalists Lindy Layton and TK Lawrence. Languid beats song 'Say Goodbye' features the deep jazzual tones of Ashley Slater, 'Report' showcases major new hip-hop talent Genesis Elijah freeflowing over some lilting Dan Bowskill verses, and 'Kill Your Sound' has great reggae vocalist Seanie Tee all over it. 'Roll & Come In' sees the legendary Earl 16 (Leftfield etc) return to add sweet words to this spacious dub cut, and regular MC Darrison guests on dubwise drum & bass party track 'Ride With It'. And there's plenty more where that came from — it is, indeed, another corker.

Like their incendiary live shows, this new long-player is a riotous mix of dub, drum & bass, hip-hop, punk and ska. They'll be heading out on tour this autumn in support of the new 'Pistoleros' release, so watch out! The gun-slinging outlaws are back in town — and this time, they're swigging Tequila.

“We are fascinated by eastern music and its codes, such as complex rhythmic structures (binary and ternary superimposing upon each other), which drive dancers to trance just like acid house does.

We’d like to take these codes and use analog techno devices (beatboxes, bassline machines) to create something new : an oriental acid music which combines the coldness of techno and the emotional and dramatic power of the East.

Our knowledge of the dancefloor is now digested and we have spent night after night digging records and files to know more about arabic music. We don’t want to be standardbearers of mixing whatever, we just want to be of our days.

Talking about mixing means there’s a split, a binary vision of an occidental vs oriental world – this is has-been. We don’t paste oriental sounds on occidental beats, we want to embody both cultures without pretending to reinvent oriental music or fooling ourselves by believing we’re inventing eastern dance music.

We just want to be part of it, and contribute to this brilliant and enormous masterpiece that this music is, and has been for thousands of years.”

Música del mundo "De la joie pour les oreilles."

You will never know where Nɨxe comes from, or where she goes. But you can be sure that one day she'll surface right in front of your boat, tickling your ears with playful melodies. She'll reach for your hand and gently lead you off.

At that point it doesn't matter whether you're ready or not - you'll be taken on a journey far beneath the waves of sound.

The lower she leads you, the more you'll connect to your subconscious. Kick drums become your pulse, bass lines fill your lungs, and for the first time in your life, you'll be able to truly breathe.

Soon enough the ocean will teach you that 'past' and 'future' are merely concepts blurring the truth. And finally you'll grasp that all that matters is happening right now: in front of your eyes and ears and in your soul.

Nanoplex is the live project from two of the pioneers of the UK progressive techno sound, Ben Coda & DJ Ipcress.

Ben Coda needs little introduction, his tech-prog sound crosses boundaries - tough beats and rolling basslines contrast with soaring melodies, fusing his love of the tougher sounds of techno and tech house with classic progressive house. With a busy international schedule, Coda is taking his sound to the masses.

DJ Ipcress has risen from the underground dance scene in the UK and over the last 5 years has taken his dark edged techno sound across Europe and the world. Fusing techno and house, with a deep minimal groove, a partnership with Ben Coda was always going to produce a slick future techno sound.

UK based DJ and producer Lucas O'Brien has been rounding up dancefloors and rocking them in the right direction since he started playing techno in the early nineties at renowned London clubs such as The End, Heaven, Club UK and Fabric.

His trance-infused techno music was found to crossover with the sounds being played in Goa in the early 90s and it was this that led him to an opportunity to play at some of the early, now legendary, TIP parties. Lucas' vast experience has found him performing at many world famous institutions such as the V & A museum, the panoramic top floor of the Tate Museum of Modern Art and to a star-studded dancefloor opposite the diplodocus at the Natural History museum for the Harry Potter 3 premiere after-party.

Today, with two highly acclaimed albums to his name (God Save The Machine, Tales Of Heads) and many more collaborative projects in the pipeline (with artists such as Eat Static, Hallucinogen, Ajja, Martian Arts, Earthling, Outsiders, Avalon, Tristan, Dickster, Sonic Species and Laughing Buddha to name but a few) Lucas is best known as a leading psytrance DJ representing Raja Ram's label TIP Records globally with his unique driving UK psychedelic sound.

Lucas shows no signs of slowing with his touring this year stretching as far afield as Europe, Russia, US, South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia. The same can be said for his studio productions with his solo psytrance album on the way, new tracks forthcoming from Sybarite and some techno projects in the pipeline too (including a track on the new Nanoplex album on Iboga Records). Known for his masterful mixing and excellent musical taste, he has become a firm favourite in well respected clubs and festivals worldwide.

Giorgio Gatti a.k.a. Josko has been collecting and playing records for more than two decades. In 1991. he got in touch with electronic music through an underground Italian radio, he was influenced by pioneers like Underground Resistance, but also FSOL, Vangelis, and Aphex Twin to name a few. Here he discovered his love for turntables and mixers, and from then on his life revolved around the exploration and research of music - the beginning of life as a DJ.

Throughout his career he has developed a distinctive sonic repertoire, drawing on a hypnotic, deep, and academic take on electronic music. He does not confine himself to trends and musical categories - his emphasis is on feeling and depth, and the emotional potential of sound. His sets create a unique sonic patchwork, creating an eclectic combination of sounds to deliver a hypnotizing groove that moves the dancefloor - both physically and emotionally. His tripped-out and futuristic take on Dance music is informed by its Detroit roots, as well as Dub, Psychedelia, and even sci-fi sounds - all part of the technologically-minded culture that he grew up in.

Josko's approach to the DJ set, and the final result, are unique - he aims to go beyond the assemblage of different tracks to create a musical symbiosis - a sonic experience that goes beyond the sum of its parts, drawing on modern and early techno, contemporary and experimental downtempo beats, to snippets of speech and atmospheric soundtracks.

His obsession with electronic music has gone beyond these moments too: his collaboration with music labels has helped other artists to be heard, and his organisational role in the psytrance festival scene - notably in encouraging space for more eclectic electronic music in the Alternative Stage - has helped make these musical moments possible on a much larger scale. He performed various times at Festivals like Glastonbury, Glade and Noisily to only name some UK events.

Dan Gilbert has been causing trouble on two turntables since 1990 in the days when vinyl was king. His journey began in the university town of Cambridge as part of the Clueless System. During his time with Clueless he played at a variety of legendary venues including the Marquee club, Heaven, The Rocket, Bagley’s and many more. He also held a residency in Amsterdam and played at a number of events throughout Europe in countries including Spain & Denmark.

After years of ecstatic pleasure it was time to move on from Cambridge and Dan landed a job at Massive Records in Oxford. It was here that he spent 9 years immersed in vinyl culture selling records day in, day out and living the dream. In his time at Massive Dan kept on playing adding the Ministry of Sound and parties in Croatia to his roster.

It was also during this time that Dan hooked up with Gordon of Babylon to form the Antirockers Soundsystem who secured gigs with the Gorillaz DJ’s in Berlin, festivals in Spain and Urban Nerds at 93 Feet East.

In 2006 Dan moved to London and has a weekly residency at the Bourne & Hollingsworth on Charlotte Street and travels to Panama every year for the Geoparadise 'Tribal Gathering'.

Born between the good-natured mountains and the far-reaching seas of Chile, raised in Italy, England, France and Germany, music is and has always been the greatest companion, best friend and trusted love of the multi-faceted Alma Linda. With an open heart and sharing soul, she wants to break down borders and built castles of hope and love. For her, in a world where our insecurities are turned into money, loving yourself becomes a political act.

The rhythms of different landscapes are her biggest inspiration: Andean music, hip hop, Arabic drums and jazz, united with the heart of electronic beats. In her powerful downbeat-sets she blends these worlds, rhythms, cultures, melodies and musical memories into her most personal stories, delivered right from her bare soul. In doing so, fear, vulnerability and mistakes turn into creatures she's trying to become friends with instead of running away from. So don't run - just dance!
