BANDA LA TRIBU

banda-la-tribu.jpg

Banda La Tribu is a musical group that combines the native instruments of the Kuna culture with Rock, making this unique and special musical proposal, especially for its strong indigenous roots.

The band was formed in 2010, merging the universal language of Rock with shouts, dances and instruments clearly from the Kuna Yala Region, following a contest of bands of different genres on Channel 37 in Panama, occupying the third place , and which gave them the opportunity to publicize their music, and thus visit much of the country, and cross borders to our brother country of Costa Rica.

At the beginning of the year 2011 they began with the recording of their first single called "In Peace", under the production of Pablo Quintero of Inmsonio Studios, which was widely accepted in local stations. In mid-2011 they released their first video clip under the same name directed by Alberto Galaor, having great acceptance in radio, television and internet media. In June 2012, he launched his second video under the name OLOMACHI, recorded on the Gaigordub Islands in Gunayala and promoted nationwide under the production of Anel Reyes.

They are currently promoting their album "Special Edition", which contains the songs Forever, Olomachi, Latin America, My Life Changed, Revolution, En Paz and Nabguana, through different presentations nationally and internationally.

The Tribe has performed at most of Panama's music festivals such as the Green Festival of Musical Culture, MacroFest, Ecofest, QtarraMusic, International Family Festival, Icodub Fest, MUPA Rock, among other private and charitable presentations. Its international presentations stand out, the JUCUM International Meeting in Costa Rica (2010), Cultural Exchange in Japan for the cities of Hiroshima, Ikwainu, Osaka and Tenry (2013), First Indigenous Olympic Games in Palmas, Brazil (2015), Alternative Unirock in Cali, Colombia (2016) and International Guests at Barnaby Jons in Medellín, Colombia (2016)

La Tribu also participated with his music videos at the film festivals in Poland and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

LA TRIBU is a new musical proposal that is promoting ethnic Rock at all levels of Panama and beyond its borders.
